Vine Cottage provided the perfect setting for a stunning glass orangery, and our team took great care in crafting a radiant extension that seamlessly integrates with the original charm of the cottage. Central to this transformation was the design and installation of the W20 glazed link, which connects the existing structure with the orangery while maximizing natural light. The result is a bright, welcoming space, ideal for both relaxation and entertaining, showcasing the harmonious blend of traditional heritage and modern glazing.

A key feature of this design is the set of raked head fixed panes, meticulously shaped to follow the roofline. This thoughtful detail preserves the cottage’s character while introducing visual intrigue and optimizing sightlines. We used 18mm double glazing to maintain warmth and comfort inside the cottage, all while allowing large, uninterrupted glass panels to flood the space with light. To further complement the warm, earthy tones of Vine Cottage, the steel frames were finished with an Anodic Bronze powder coating, providing a sophisticated, premium look.

In keeping with the elegant feel of the cottage, we selected SWF bronze handles for the windows and Croft bronze handles for the doors—each chosen for their timeless design, tactile quality, and flawless operation. As a final artistic touch, we added bespoke Vine patterned leadwork to the internal glazing, nodding to the cottage's name and bringing the entire space together with a unique, personalized flourish.
