Nestled in a picturesque Cotswold village, The Old Toll House has undergone an extensive refurbishment, seamlessly combining refined country living with modern convenience. We were honored to supply and install luxurious steel-framed windows and doors, expertly balancing heritage charm with cutting-edge performance. This project embodies our passion for quality, style, and functionality—key attributes of Cotswold Steel Windows’ bespoke metalwork and architectural glazing.
At the heart of The Old Toll House’s remarkable transformation are 16 W20 windows, meticulously installed into traditional stone mullions. This thoughtful integration preserves the home’s period character while optimizing natural daylight. Each window is fitted with 18mm thermally efficient double glazing, offering superior insulation without compromising the elegant, slim sightlines characteristic of steel frames. To further enhance the property’s timeless appeal, 20mm applied Georgian bars were added, evoking a classic look that harmonizes with the house’s original design.
For a refined finish, we applied RAL 7001 powder coating to the external frames, lending a sophisticated grey hue that complements the property’s natural surroundings. Inside, RAL 7016 anthracite powder coating was chosen for the five W20 internal doors, creating a striking contrast that accentuates the sleek profiles of the steel frames. Every detail was carefully considered, with SWF handles and stays selected for the windows and Bronze Frank Allart handles for the doors, striking a perfect balance between durability and understated elegance.
Through our unwavering commitment to fine craftsmanship and innovative engineering, The Old Toll House now features a stunning suite of steel doors and windows that unite timeless design with superior safety and performance—exemplifying the exceptional quality and expertise that define Cotswold Steel Windows.
